Visit Riihimäki participates in the Travel Fair

Visit Riihimäki, or the tourism organization of Lope, Riihimäki and Hausjärvi, will appear for the first time at Matkamessi in the Helsinki Exhibition Center on January 19-22.1.2023, 6. This is also the first time that Loppi, Riihimäki and Hausjärvi share a fair stand together. Visit Riihimäki presents the tourist attractions of the Riihimäki region at its stand. The top themes of tourism in the Riihimäki region are culture, nature, well-being and local life. The Thursday day of the travel fair is aimed at tourism professionals, and so is the program of the Visit Riihimäki section. The interviewer is Yle Häme's long-distance reporter Miki Wallenius. Entrepreneur stories will be told by, for example, Lepola's house from Hausjärvi and Marskin Maja from Loppia. On Friday, the department's program is assembled around the theme of nature. On the nature day, we will hear about Lope's nature trails, the area's mountain biking opportunities and also every man's rights. Joppe Ranta is the interviewer for the nature theme.

On Saturday, we indulge in culture. Riihimäki's summer theater has been renewed for the summer. The facilities have been improved for both visitors and performing artists. As a taster of the upcoming summer repertoire, we will see Three Happy Bandits produced by Riihimäki Youth Theatre. Finland's most famous toy retailer, Janne Kataja, Riihimäki's thrower, will also be at Visit Riihimäki's stand on Saturday. Sunday mass day is dedicated to well-being, when we hear about the diverse well-being services in the area. Cardehumma, an entrepreneur from Lapland, will talk about animal-assisted well-being, and SatuAasi's stables will talk about how donkeys bring good mood and well-being to people.

There is strength in cooperation

The Visit Riihimäki organization was founded in the summer of 2021 and the website was opened a year ago in January 2022. The purpose of the organization is to highlight the attractive tourist destinations of the Riihimäki region. Visit Riihimäki is part of Riihimäki Tilat ja Kehitys Oy. The city of Riihimäki and the municipalities of Lope and Hausjärvi are located so close to each other that travelers can easily use the services in different locations.
