A new tourism project jointly launched by the Kanta-Häme regions began at the beginning of the year. The two-year project aims to find and develop experiences offered by rural businesses into products that can be purchased.

The main implementer of the project “Experiences – from the experience economy to growth in tourism” is Linnan Kehitys Oy and the sub-implementers are Forssa Yrityskehitys Oy (FYK) and Riihimäen Tilat ja Kehitys Oy (RTOY). The project is financed by the European Rural Development Fund and the total budget is over €352. The project will be implemented from 000 January 1.1.2024 to 31.12.2025 December XNUMX.

Help and advice for rural businesses

The Elämykset esiin project aims to provide companies with comprehensive information on developing their own business and digital visibility. During the project, information sessions will be organized for companies on topics such as product development, digital visibility channels for tourism, online shopping and financing. In addition to the information sessions, links and guides will be compiled on the project website, which will help companies develop their business and digital visibility.

“Companies that, for example, are going to productize their own services for the tourism industry or develop their digital visibility with the help of the project’s advice will be highlighted in blog posts and social media publications on Visit Häme channels. In addition, the attractiveness of these companies’ products will be tested at sales events where international tour operators are met.” This is how the project’s project manager Annamaria Laine from Linnan Kehitys describes the activities.

"The project aims to have product information from rural companies appear on the Visit Häme website and increase their visibility through marketing campaigns. At the same time, the visibility of the entire Kanta-Häme region will be increased by increasing the number of visitors to the Visit Häme website," Laine continues.
