The Easter event takes over the city of Riihimäki again

Riihimäki Easter returns to the city after a two-year break. The Easter event offers a variety of fun activities throughout Easter from 14 to 18 April 2022.

Riihimäki Easter offers city residents musical theater and dance performances, museum and gallery exhibitions and a variety of workshops, children's films, fairground rides, art and craft vendors, Easter markets and café and restaurant delicacies, not to mention the parish's Easter-time events. The entire city is traditionally decorated with colorful willow branches and spring flower arrangements. This year, Riihimäki Easter celebrates its 25th anniversary and in honor of that, the event will receive a renewed visual look.

The busiest day of Easter is Easter Saturday, April 16.4, when families with children in particular should head to the city museum yard. The museum yard is then transformed into one big farm adventure. The area is full of cute farm animals and a nice farm atmosphere. The stage is taken over by the musical theatre performance Mystery on the Farm, which is entertaining and inclusive for the whole family. At least Rokkikana Moilanen, Peacock Riekkinen, the rapping Possu Nieminen and the reggae-singing Mansikki-Lehmä will be adventuring on the farm with Piippola's grandfather. The stars of the performance, which offers visual fireworks, will be Jaakko Loukkola and Isa-Eerika Lehto, who are familiar from children's TV programs.
