June is international LGBTQIA+ Pride month. Pride is also visible in the Riihimäki region. The city of Riihimäki organizes a week-long Riihimäki Pride event every year. Over the years, the June event has included information sessions, a pride parade and various cultural events. In Loppi, Pride is celebrated on equality day, when the Pride flag will be raised at the municipal hall.
