The Visit Riihimäki collaboration began in June 2021, when Riihimäen Messut Oy received funding from Hämeen liitto for the Yhdessä eteenpäin tourism project. Led by Riihimäen Messut Oy, Loppi, Riihimäki and Hausjärvi collaborated to create a website, social media channels, and the Visit Riihimäki brand and visual identity. From the end of 2024 onwards, the municipalities continued to develop Visit Riihimäki without Riihimäen Messut Oy.
The websites and social media channels are maintained by the communicators of the city of Riihimäki and the municipalities of Loppi and Hausjärvi.
