Traditional German Christmas Market

Riihimäki Granit Square and its surroundings will be filled with a German-style Christmas market for the sixteenth time on Saturday, November 25, 2022, from 10 am to 3 pm. Indoor sales areas are located on the ground and upper floors of the Majakka shopping center. The Local Market is also included.

Riihimäki Christmas event
Riihimäki Christmas begins on Saturday, November 25th, when the wonderful Christmas atmosphere fills the city. There are numerous opportunities to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere during the day.
You can enjoy an atmospheric Christmas event for the whole family in the courtyard of Riihimäki Library between 12:00 and 15:00, when there will be, among other things, Santa Claus and his elves, a pony cart ride, and a Christmas card crafting station.
There is also a Santa Claus post office in the library yard, where you can visit and get your Christmas card stamped. The first 100 people will also receive a stamp to send the card. In the yard, you can enjoy Christmas porridge provided by Oma Säästöpankki Oyj and the Rengon Säästöpankkisäätiö. There are a thousand servings of porridge available.
There will also be an Openmic in the courtyard from 13 to 14 p.m., where anyone can participate by presenting Christmas-themed performances and greetings. Inside the library, Santa Claus will read stories and you can exchange your unwanted Christmas decorations at the Christmas decoration recycling point.

Hausjärvi's traditional Christmas opening will be held in Ryttylä this year. The main organizers are the municipality of Hausjärvi, the Hausjärvi Entrepreneurs Association, and the Ryttylä Village Association.
The event is free of charge. Mayor Pekka Määttänen will provide Christmas porridge. There will be lots of crafts for sale, and local businesses and associations will be presenting themselves.

Cafe Perunakuopa Christmas Cafe
Café Perunakuoppa is open on three Saturdays before Christmas, December 2.12, December 9.12 and December 16.12, from 10 am to 15 pm.
As last Christmas, there will be lots of different crafts for sale, including wool socks and mittens, woolen and warm clothes, as well as home-smoked smoked meats, Christmas boxes and a variety of pastries to take home or taste on site with a coffee.

Feel Christmas has arrived is an atmospheric Christmas concert in the style of Duo Lumottaret. During the concert, the most beautiful Christmas carols, both old and new, will be performed in Lumottaret's versions. Duo Lumottaret, Leena Saarinen, vocals and Susanna Pajukangas, piano, keyboards, vocals, have been providing concert experiences for both classical and light music listeners for 20 years. Christmas carols are especially close to the hearts of Lumottaret, and so they welcome everyone to the concert to feel how Christmas arrives in their hearts.
