The Finnish Glass Museum
The museum's two-floor permanent exhibition presents the 300-year tradition of Finnish glassmaking and the fascinating 4000-year history of glass. The most beloved classics of Finnish glassware and glass art are on display, as well as the most interesting names in contemporary glass. The museum is housed in Riihimäen Lasi's former glass factory, which was converted into a museum according to Tapio Wirkkala's plans. Around ten domestic and international temporary exhibitions are organised each year, and the museum's event programme is lively. Suomen lasimuseon ystävät ry (The Finnish Glass Museum's Friends Association) organises two popular glass collecting events at the museum every year.
There is a café-restaurant connected to the museum.
