Marskin maja
Discover a piece of Finnish history at Marskin Maja, on the shores of the magnificent Punelia Lake in Loppi. The history of Marshal Mannerheim's hunting lodge dates back to 1942, when Finnish soldiers built and donated the lodge to their commander-in-chief on his 75th birthday. The lodge was built on the eastern side of the Finnish border and moved to Loppi the following year. The Marsin Maja complex also includes the Field Guard Museum Sisu (Kenttävartiomuseo Sisu). The lodge is open to the public during the summer and has a restaurant attached to it. Or perhaps you would like to enjoy the heat in the sauna, which Mannerheim himself used when he visited the lodge?
