The outdoor swimming pool is Riihimäki's summer oasis

When it gets hot, you should head out to the outdoor pool located in Riihimäki's Urheilupuisto.The swimming pool was completed in 1956, and its style is very similar to the Helsinki Swimming Stadium.

You can spend a whole summer day at the pool, swimming with your friends and eating snacks. You can purchase snacks on site, too. The outdoor pool has something for swimmers of all levels. There are two children's pools, a slide, and a 50-meter pool. The most daring can test their courage in the diving tower. There are also saunas.

The outdoor swimming pool is open from the beginning of June to the end of August. The Riihimäki swimming hall, located next to the outdoor pool, is closed for renovation and will reopen in 2024.

In the summer of 2023, when the Riihimäki swimming hall is closed, a tent sauna and a kiosk will be open, offering coffee, tea, hot chocolate and snacks.
