Loppilainen is Loppi's new sweater
Loppi got his own sweater on 29.5. The sweater is called Loppilainen. This sweater, designed by Veera Jussila, is a tribute to his beloved hometown and region. 🥔 This sweater can be knitted by all Loppi fans, in addition to those who live in Loppi.
“The old church of Loppi, the famous Loppi potato and potato flower, fertile lands and lakes. And numerous ridges and hills. These images gave rise to the Loppi sweater, Loppilainen with a capital L. The symbolism of the Loppilainen sweater repeats motifs that arise deep in Loppi: the cross of Saint Birgitta, the symbolism of the Old Church pulpit, the crown seal of the potato chapel and potato flowers.”
You can buy the Loppilainen knitting pattern booklet From the Kamppi yarn shop in Kormu, From the Red House Ruustinta Yarn Boutique From Topeno and From the Savi-Heinä Shop.
